ILM was able to provide custom exterior grade LED light boxes for the 2014 Verizon Power House event in NYC. More than 25,000 square feet of the historic Bryant Park was transformed into convention center-like exhibit spaces for multiple events. The Power House was set up to give everyone a firsthand experience before the big game. Verizon wanted to create and share a Super Bowl tech journey for football fans. The Verizon Power House allowed visitors to virtually “Suit Up” in their favorite NFL team uniform, learn more about the NFL Mobile app, and try out LTE Multicast, a new way to experience content that leverages the 4G LTE network. The Media Tower area encouraged football enthusiasts to create a personalized timeline featuring iconic moments in technology, pop culture, and NFL history.
ILM provided two 96″ x 192″ backlit LED light boxes that were displayed at the event’s main entrance. The light boxes were just under 6″ deep and the entire cabinet was populated with premium LED’s. The light boxes were manufactured in sections and bolted together in the field. The graphics were printed on backlit 15 oz banner material and stretched across the frame. Six retainers were provided per box to conceal the perimeter. ILM provided design, manufacturing, and printing services and was able to meet the customer’s expedited deadline.
